Real estate investor Paul Peskin, 30, was looking over an abandoned bank in Richmond Hill, GA, when he found a package of bills in an open vault. He slipped the money in his pocket, not knowing it was a decoy that tellers give to bank robbers. It exploded, covering him in red dye and an irritant like tear gas. Peskin ran outside to the truck he had borrowed from a friend who moonlights as a clown, and put on a clown suit to keep the truck clean. The dye apparently irritated Peskin so much that he jumped out of the truck and ran toward First Bank ofCoastal Georgia, where employees, seeing a man in a clown suit coveredwith red dye running at them, alerted police to a possible robbery. After listening to Peskin's story, Police Chief Billy Reynolds said no charges were filed, adding, "Nothing this unusual has ever occured that I can remember." Find other Money articles

Phynyty: I find this hilarious!!!! Not only the fact that the guy was dumb enough to take money from a "bank" without questioning why ANYONE would leave a stack of cash just lying around BUT that this "Libbie" person actually thinks that she has ANY sort of case in this matter. Once a person commits a crime they are open to public review, and theft is a very serious crime, whether it was fake/decoy money or not it is still THEFT and still a crime. So no there is nothing that can be done against this website or any parties involved and the idiot got what he deserved for his actions! This site is great and keep up the good work! - Josh: Seriously lady that is funny and I see no reason why someone would kill thereselves because other people heard there unfortunate yet hilarious story, this guy probably would of rattled the story off like that while drinking or something. p.s. "on line" is one word and real names and "i" are capitalized. Not to be mean and if he really did kill himself I am sorry but that just seems like something someone made up to make that more interesting, I mean someone whos husband just died and would take the time to write a comment about it seems like they may put more time into it and write it correctly.(24/11/2005)
